Attn: Beginner Women MTBr's!

I helped lead a Beginner Women's Mountain Biking clinic a couple weeks ago. The clinic was sponsored by REI and SORBA. It was led by Sherri Hall, Jan Riter, Vicki Mouw, and myself at the Georgia International Horse Park (site of the 1996 Olympic MTB event). We had a GREAT turnout of almost 20 women!! We got very good feedback and everyone learned a lot about bike fit, clothing, nutrition, climbing, descending, and switchbacks (turning). We started in the field with some basic drills and then hit the trails (separated in a few groups according to rider level/confidence). There will be more clinics to come and I highly suggest you attend one if you are a beginner to beginner/intermediate mountain biker! It is a great way to learn in a non-intimidating environment. I'll post the dates here when I know them. Oh, and the clinics are FREE!!
