on the road.....
I just picked up my mountain bike from AVX Bikes...whoa, it has gears. I won't have a singlespeed for a few months, I really need to learn how to ride with gears again before the 2009 race season starts!
We are leaving for Jacksonville FLA today for Winter Training Camp 2008. We'll be updating with pics and stories from the trip.
Bye!

Now you have the best of both worlds. You can shift when you need to, but have more power from racing on a SS for so long.
Have a great trip. Ride some dirt for me since we are snowed in here....
Best wishes to you and Eddie on your training trip. The weather channel was showing temps of mid 70s for FL earlier this week. It should be a good time. Just stay off the side walk where the old folks like to drive!
Oh and just rip off the big & little rings on the cranks and ride the new bike as a 1x9. That should be all the shifting you really need.
Peace,
Metro

Namrita,
For several years the only bike I owned was a single speed.
Then I went back to gears.
Then I discovered happiness is in having both.
So I ride both. To strengthen all my skills while preparing for "races" I ride my single speed.
When its time to battle I break out my Gears.
But even when I have my gears I ride that thing like it is a single speed. I hammer the big ring alot, I stand up and work, I get the most out of each cog.
SS fo LIFE, even when the Gears are on the ride!
Hmmm...saw this over at Kerkove's site.

Has Namrita written all over it!
thanks, all!
Luis--uh...yeah it does!
