Halloween MTBash in Ellijay, GA

OK people,

It's time to think about doing something really fun for Halloween Weekend. Imagine sweet singletrack, fall colors, crisp weather, campfires, and great home-cooked meals. Sounds perfect, huh?

The party will start Friday evening and will continue through the weekend. Saturday will be a big mountain bike ride (if you're up for it), complete with a SAG stop at the midway point. (You provide the supplies for your SAG needs, somebody will drive it there and bring it back for you). Of course, you are welcome to do your own ride on Saturday if you're not up for the big one. Sunday will be more chill, but there will still be good riding.

The location of the festivities is Mulberry Gap Mountain Bike Getaway in Ellijay, GA. It's the perfect location for a MTBash as it's set just off the Pinhoti 3 trail and has tons of acreage with campsites, cabins, nice warm (and clean!) bathhouses, plus delicious home cooked meals which are included in the price of the stay. They also have a sweet open air barn to host the Halloween weekend festivities. Speaking of the Friday/Saturday night festivities, it's BYOB so bring something good and interesting to share. We'll work on having a keg of something yummy, too, but BYO just to be safe. Halloween costumes are also encouraged!

Dogs are allowed at Mulberry Gap, so if your pooch is well behaved, go ahead and bring him (or her).

The per person rates vary based on whether you choose a campsite or cabin, and the number of meals you want to include. Basic rates can be found at www.mulberrygap.com but will vary slightly for this special event. The cabins will fill up quickly, so contact diane@mulberrygap to request rates and to make your reservation. Meals must be reserved in advance so they can prepare the correct amount of food.

Dinner on Friday will be a BBQ and dinner on Saturday will be of a Mexican theme. Saturday/Sunday's AM meal will be a full breakfast....and fear not if you are a big eater because there will be plenty of food!

While meals are included, you will want to bring your own snacks and drinks for the rides.

This event is open invite, so feel free to invite all your friends!
