Goodbye Sooner

I am lucky to have spent many years growing up with Sooner. I will miss her greatly.

When I am gone, release me, let me go
I have so many things to see and do
You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears
Be thankful for our beautiful years I gave you my love,
you can only guess
How much you gave to me in happiness
I thank you for the love you each have shown
But now it's time I traveled on alone
So grieve awhile for me, if grieve you must
Then let your grief be comforted by trust
It's only for a time that we must part
So bless the memories within your heart.

Namrita, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I love dogs more like most people. They touch a part of our soul that others don't reach...
Sonner's love will always stay with you.

Big hug...even though neither of us are really huggy gals. You know my own love for furry beasties. Puddy, Yoda and Turkey Trot all send fuzzy hugs, too. You know TT can come for a visit whenever you need some kitty love! :)

Sorry to hear about your dog's passing. The piece you posted was very touching. We have to appreciate the time we get to spend together with such loving creatures.
