I have the sweetest bike in the world!!!!

Go ahead and argue with me, but I probably won't listen...I have the sweetest bike ever. I rode the pink Jabberwocky today (thanks, Eddie, for getting it built and Wobble-naughted for me). I wasn't sure what I would think of the rigid fork...but now I think this bike was meant to be rigid...it was way more fun and comfortable than I thought it would be. I noticed the benefits of rigid right off the bat. And, with the 2.55 Weirwolf up front, the ride was more plush than I would have guessed. Well, enough rambling. I'm going to go stare at the bike some more. It's so pretty :) Here's some pix for ya. Thanks again to Vassago Cycles, WTB, Scott Hodge from Addictive Cycles, Eddie O, and Ergon for bringing me this beautiful bicycle.

Glad you're liking the rigid SS. I'm enjoying mine so far too. I will admit my hands hurt a bit after two sessions down Pine Mountain...but then again, Pine Mountain's so rutted out it can hurt with FS. :) Maybe we can ride our rigid beasties together sometime soon.

Wow! Totally worth the wait!

I run the Weirwolf 2.5 on my 26" rigid single speed. Light for such a big comfortable tire. My favorite front tire to date!

I've been keeping an eye on the Vasagos for a while now, but have never seen one in person. You seem to have proven them worthy! How do they compare with other 29ers you've ridden?

Jeff,

thanks! the only other 29er i've ridden is the kona unit 2-9. comparing the two, the vassago kicks the unit's ass all around. i ride everything better on it. it seems as though others are liking them too. it must be the wetcat geometry!

Thanks for holding onto Ayla's bike for us. We'll need it in oh about 10-11 years. Keep it purty and treat it nice. You should bring it out and show it off in the mountains of NC sometime soon.
