I think this is my core body temperature. I have yet to warm up from Thomson Day :( I walk around in my house wearing a hat. I think something is wrong with me! I've done two trainer rides this week..but yesterday I had to go outdoors because I just couldn't do another trainer day. Unfortunately, every trail (EXCEPT THE ONE WE RACED ON IN THE MUD) is still closed...go figure...so I had to ride the roadie on the rail trail yesterday. Even with my Lake winter shoes, my feet turned into blocks of ice.
So, moving has been on my mind lately. When I graduate I definitely want to leave Georgia. But..where? Eddie wants Portland, OR...but I really don't think I can move any further north. Maybe Arizona? Hmm.....

How many times I've thought about moving. Let's see, here in the very very Midwest, we get a lot of ice, alot of snow, alot of rain, alot of heat, alot of cold, alot of humidity, alot of tornadoes. And that's in a single week!
I know a lot of folks who would miss you if you moved, me especially. I'm a native NorCal girl, as you know, so if you wanna go check it out some more, we can go stay with my sister and ride some trails with my brother. Maybe we can even drag Danielle along since she had to cut her Cali trip short.
You should get yourself some Pearl Izumi Amphib shoe covers. I did a road ride yesterday around lunch time and my feet were actually SWEATING! They work great and are toasty warm.
Raja said he passed by you on the Vomet, but you probably didn't hear him holler. I'm with you on this weather. 43 yrs of this crap, and each yr it gets harder and harder to tolerate the cold (and this isn't even a cold place). We're moving to Hawaii. I'll come visit you in Portland if you come see me in HI;)
Lisa, that's not a bad idea. I could get those PI covers for my Lake shoes. That should pretty much guarantee me warm feet..if not I can add chemical warmers too :)
Laurie, yeah--I didn't realize it was him until right after we passed each other. He looked like he was having fun! P.S. Better yet, we should all just move to Hawaii.
Depends on what "cold" is to you. When living in Iowa, the temps from November thru mid-February barely went about freezing. It was cold!!!
Glad I made the move to CO. Average high temp in the winter months....41 degrees. Plus, I have access to riding the flat lands...and elevation up to 12,000 ft less than 50 miles from my door step.
my temp is usually 97.6, so i totally feel for you in the cold department! here's another idea... just saw these footbed warmers at a cross race. they are awesome! they heat the entire length of your foot, not just the toes!

My wife and I are planning moving from Alpharetta to Portland after she graduates. Very much looking forward to it.
