granny gear series
I just got the email for Granny Gear's 24 hours of Moab, which was to be my last race of the season to go for the series win. All I need is to place in the top 5 at Moab to secure that 1st place spot in the series...
There are currently only two women signed up, Pua and Terri Wahlberg whom I raced at Vail Lake. I don't know how big the women's field will be, but no doubt it's being diluted with the Payson Stampede 24 coming up this weekend. The men's field is huge, though!
It is so frustrating to know I worked hard for the series this year and it would have made a spectacular end to 2008 for me.
BUT...I am planning on racing this weekend, and then heading to my first Interbike! I need to decide which bikes I want to ride at the Dirt Demo. I already have a short list going...
I've already started working and planning with my new coach, and also in my 2nd week with my personal trainer. I'm feeling it!
Oh, and happy early birthday to my Eddie! Tomorrow is going to be a fantastic day spent riding bikes, eating ice cream & cupcakes, and drinking delicious beers with our good friends.

I am curious about which bikes are on your short list?
That sucks about Moab.If I had the extra cash I would definitely sponsor your trip.Would love to see ya kick some ass out there and take the overall.
Would look really good on that resume' dont ya think??
Thanks, Mark. If I had ANY extra cash I'd be there. It's just not worth going into more racing debt for.
