aaaah....the post race
We're packing up to leave Wisconsin. I can't help but having thoughts of regret, disappointment. It's fine to win a race when there's little competition, but this race was different. It has the biggest competition, everyone is there...people are watching. No, I wasn't out there to win...just to be out there and race with the best. I wanted to be on that podium so bad and I know I had it in me. Unfortunately, something so easily preventable ruined it. My goal was 16 laps and with my pacing strategy I could have had it. I would have settled for 15 and still been happy. Even 14 could have gotten me on the podium. I have some thinking to do about the rest of the season. Some things are changing.

Hey, that's what makes competitive cycling so intriguing. We never can totally figure it out, we gotta leave some up to chance and be the best prepared for any event. If we all could calculate everything, we would always be on the podium. Great job and remember that there's lots more racing to come.
Don't beat yourself up too much. It happened, you know what happened, and you won't let it happen again. I'm eager to hear about your coaching changes and what else you have up your sleeves. Now I have to get back to working on some bike part alterations, if you know what I mean!!!
Don't be too hard on yourself! Races are unpredictable, otherwise they would just hand out podium spots out based on racer's training logs.
Recover, learn from this one, it will make you stronger next time.
I am no expert but I have a rock solid nutritional strategy. Email me.
You will find that groove again. Adapt and overcome (my motto when in the Army); holds true for racing as well.
You will be fine at the next one. A little burp here or there. Yea it was a biggie race for you both but there will be more. I see many more REVENGE races in your future... No I don't have a crystal ball but wishing you both the best. I did glance at the online scores at midnight and just thought you were taking a long break. Sorry you didn't feel well...
Hey!, I was sad to read your feeling a bit down...hang in there and just enjoy your bike for what it is for a while...a REALLY cool toy :) Can I tempt you and Eddie to meet for beers at McCrays sometime soon?
FYI I have a new NEW cell ph now...left my new cell phone on my bumper after 5 gaps :( Cheers,
Neal
You'll get them next time Namrita...oh wait, 'them' might be me!
I know it sucks now but great job hanging in there.
